One2Run5k January 2020

Following on from the huge success of the inaugural One2Run5k, we are thrilled to announce that the next course will commence on Tuesday 7th January 2020.

Aimed at introducing both new and existing runners to the world of running and correct technique, we will again be calling on the expertise of John Reynolds of JRSTT (John Reynolds Soft Tissue Therapy).

ROC Challenge at Foxhall Stadium

Rushmere community runners can now offer you the opportunity to book your entry into the ROC Foxhall Challenge on 9th November 2019 via Run Together.

All participants must be 18 on the day of the event, but there is no restriction ability or the number of entrants from the club.

Bags of help!

Rushmere Community Runners bags £1000 from Tesco’s community grant scheme

Ipswich running group, Rushmere Community Runners (RCR) is delighted to announce it has bagged £1000 from Tesco’s Bags of Help community grant scheme.

Bags of Help is run in partnership with environmental charity Groundwork, and sees grants awarded to thousands of local community projects every year.

Rays first year at RCR!

Rushmere Community Runners’ member Ray Challoner has had an amazing year. Having only started running last spring, he has just completed his first marathon!

Ray started running as, at 22 stone, he wanted to lose some weight and get, fit, taking part in his first Park Run at Kesgrave in April 18.

RCR deaf community runners

Rushmere Community Runners (RCR) prides itself as being a friendly, supportive place where anybody can join in and run regarding of their ability or fitness level.
The Ipswich based running Club also has a growing number of regular runners who have hearing impairments.

This growing group of deaf runners are truly embraced by RCR who have created a safe environment for them to run and be as much a part of then activities as anybody else.

GROUP 1 5K | PACE: Slow and gentle.
GROUP 1 LONG | PACE: 12-13 min/mile.
GROUP 2 10K | PACE: 11-12 min/mile.
GROUP 3 10K | PACE: 9-11 min/mile.
GROUP 4 10-15K | PACE: 7:30-9:30 min/mile.
GROUP 5 10 MILES | PACE: Sub 7:30 min/mile.
